Jeremy lalrinnungum represented and won gold medal in summer youth olympics 2018 in the boys 62 kg weightlifting category.
The journey of 19-year-old Jeremy to win gold in Commonwealth 2022 has not been easy. Jeremy, who hails from Mizoram, started boxing after seeing his father but later he chose weightlifting as his career. Jeremy's father was a well-known boxer. But later he accepted a job in the PWD department to support a family of eight members.
