INDIAN WOMEN LAWN BOWLS WON GOLD IN CWG 2022,CREAT HISTORY

Lawn bowls team won first medal in 92 years.

 India won 4th gold  in Birmingham commonwealth games. India defeated South Africa by 17-10 to win the gold medal , on the 5th day.This is the first time in 92 years in the history of commonwealth games,when women lawn bowl team won gold. Indian player Lavli chouwey, pinki, Nayanmoni saikiya, and Roopa Rani gave best performance in the final match.  The final position INDIA (GOLD),SOUTH AFRICA ( SILVER), NEW ZEALAND(BRONZE). Most of the people in India don't know about lawn bowls.If we describe it in simple language it is update version of  game marbles it is played in villages of India.In the game  the big bowl has to be passed to the target.

India's journey toward commonwealth games medal in lawn bowls started with the national games in 2007.In 2010 edition of quadrilateral event at  home, country lost by one point in semifinals by Australia.
